Soğd has seven realms. And since there are seven realms within it, there are seven lords within it: One is Cäm (Cäm), one is Zähak (Äzidäha̋g), one is Färidun (Frédón), one is Mänuçir (Mänúçihr), one is Kavus (Ka̋ús), one is Käy Xosrav (Kay Husräw), one is Lohrasb (Lohra̋sp), and one is Guştasp Şah (Wişta̋sp Şáh).
Afterwards, the accursed Äfrasiyab (Fra̋siya̋k) of Tur made thrones for each of the demons and [for each] made a towering idol temple.
Inside the brilliant Bälx (Bälx), the city of Nävazäh (Näwa̋zag) was made by Äsfändiyar (Spändiya̋d), the son of Guştasp (Wişta̋sp).

The city of Xwaräzm (Xwa̋räzm) was made by Narseh (Närséh) son of Cuhud (Yähúd).
The city of Märvrod (Märwród) was made by Bähram (Währa̋m) son of Yäzdgird (Yäzdgird).
The city of Märv (Märw) and the city of Härat (Häré) were made by the accursed Roman Alexander (Scändär).
The city of Poşäŋ (Bóşäŋ) was made by Şahpur (Şáhbuhr) son of Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r), and [he] made a great bridge to Poşäŋ (Bóşaŋ).
The city of Tus (Tús) was made by Tus, son of Novzär (Nódär), and he was the spahbäd (spa̋hbed) for nine hundred years. After Tus, the [position of] spahbäd (spa̋hbed) came from [him] to Zärer (Zärér), and from Zärer it came to Bästur (Bästúr), and from Bästur it came to Kärzäm (Kärzäm).
The city of Nişapur (Néwşa̋buhr) was made by Şahpur (Şa̋hbuhr) son of Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r). [It] was at that time when he killed Pählizäk (Pählézäg) and [he] ordered that the city be built at the same place.
The city of Qayen (Ka̋yén) was made by Käy Lohrasb (Käy Lohra̋sp) son of Guştasp (Wişta̋sp).
In Gorgan (Gurga̋n), the city called Dähistan (Dähesta̋n) was made by Narseh (Närséh) the Äşkan (Äşka̋n).
The five-towered city of Qumis (Kúmı̋s) was made the private estate of Zähak (Äzidäha̋g). It was the homeland of the Parthians. During the lordship of Yäzdgird (Yäzdgird) son of Şahpur (Şa̋hbuhr) [and] during the invasion of Çol [Qağan] (Çól), Viroypähr (Wéróypähr) was made a border [post].
Five cities were made by Xosrav (Husräw) son of Qäbad (Käwa̋d). [They] were named: Husräw Şa̋d, Husräw Múst A̋ba̋d, Wisp Şa̋d Husräw, Hu Bóy Husräw, and Şa̋d Farrox Husräw.
And a wall of 180 farsaŋ length and 25 royal araş height, 180 palace gates, and an estate were under [construction by the] command [of Xosrav].
In the Western direction, the city of Tisfun (Tı̋sifón) was made by the command of Tus (Tús) the son of Värazeh (Wara̋zag) the son of Gev (Géw).
The city of Näsbin (Näsı̋bı̋n) was made by Värazeh (Wära̋zäg) the son of Gev (Géw).
The city of Orha (Órha̋y) was made by Narseh (Närséh) the Äşkan (Äşka̋n).
The city of Babel (Ba̋bél) was made by Babel during the lordship of Cäm (Cäm). And he bound the planet Tir (Tı̋r) there. And he showed the seven spells, twelve constellations and planets, and the eighth portioned [star] by sorcery to the [god] Mehr (Mihr) and those below (his light).
The city of Herat (Hért) was made by Şahpur (Şa̋hbuhr) son of Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r). And he appointed Mehrzad (Mihrza̋d) the Marzban over the Wall of the Tazigan (Ta̋zı̋ga̋n).
The city of Hämedan (Hämäda̋n) was made by Yäzdgird (Yäzdgird) son of Şahpur (Şa̋hbuhr) who they called the sinner.
In Mad (Ma̋h), the district of Nähavänd (Niha̋wänd), and the Wall of Bähramavänd (Währa̋ma̋wänd), Bähram (Währa̋m) son of Yäzdgird (Yäzdgird) who was called Bähram Gur (Währa̋m Gór) built a city.
Twenty-one cities were built in Pädişxvar (Pädişxva̋r) by Ärmayil (Ärma̋yı̋l) or by Ärmayil’s command by the Kohyar (Kófya̋r) who acquired the domain of the mountains from Zähak (Äzidäha̋g).
There are seven Kohyar (Kófya̋r): Visemägan (Wisémäga̋n), Ahägan (A̋häga̋n), Vispur (Wispúhr), Sobaran (Sóba̋ra̋n), Musrägan (Musräga̋n), Bärozan (Bäróza̋n), and Märinzan (Märinza̋n).
Those who were from Zähak (Äzidäha̋g) acquired the domain of the mountains.
The city of Mosul (Músel) was made by Piroz (Péróz) son of Şahpur (Şa̋hbuhr).
Nine cities were made in the land of Cäzire (Gäzı̋räg) and Amtus (A̋mtús) the nephew of Qäysär (Késär) made them.
Twenty-four cities were made in the land of Şam (Şa̋m), Yämän (Yämän), Afriqa (Frı̋ga̋), Kufeh (Kufäh), Mäfeh (Mäkkäh), and Mädineh (Mädı̋näg) by the Şahan Şah (Şa̋ha̋n Şa̋h) and Qäysär (Késär).
By the southern direction, the city of Kabul (Ka̋bul) was made by Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r) the son of Äsfändiyar (Spändiya̋d).
The city of Räxut (Räxwät) was made by Räham (Räha̋m) son of Godärz (Gódärz) at the time when Äsbvärz (Äspwärz) struck down the man of Turan (Túr) and defeated Yabğu Qağan (Yabbu Xa̋ga̋n) from there.
The city of Bäst (Bäst) was made by Bästur (Bästúr) son of Zärer (Zärér) at the time when Guştasp Şah (Wişta̋sp Şa̋h) worshipped the religion by Fräzdan (Fräzda̋n) and the estate of Guştasp (Wişta̋sp) and other princes was established.
The city of Frah (Fra̋h) and the city of Zabulistan (Za̋wälesta̋n) were made by Rustäm (Ródstähm) the Şah of Sistan (Sı̋sta̋n).
The city of Zäräŋ (Zäräŋ) was first made by Äfrasiyab (Fra̋siya̋k) of Tur. And the Miraculous Kärkoy (Kärkóy) Fire was established there. And [at the time] Mänuçir (Mänúçihr) was in Pädişxvargär (Pädişxwa̋rgär) [when] Äsfändärmäd (Spändärmäd) was desired as a wife. Then Äsfändärmäd (Spändärmäd) mixed into the Earth [and] the city was destroyed and the fire extinguished. And afterwards, Käy Xosrav (Käy Husräw) son of Siyaväş (Siya̋wäxş) made the city again. And the Kärkoy (Kärkóy) Fire was again established. And Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r) the son of Babak (Pa̋bäg) finished the city.
The city of Kerman (Kerma̋n) was made by [Qäbad (Käwa̋d)] the son of Piroz (Péróz), the Şah of Kerman (Kerma̋n).
The city of Beh-Ärdäşir (Weh-Ärdäxşı̋r) was made by three lords and Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r) the son of Babak (Pa̋bäg) finished it.
The city of Estäxr (Stäxr) was made by Ärdävand (Ärdäwa̋n) the Şah of the Partiyans (Pa̋rsı̋ga̋n).
The city of Darabgird (Da̋ra̋bgird) was made by Dara (Da̋ra̋y) son of Dara (Da̋ra̋y).
The city of Bişapur (Weh-Şa̋buhr) was made by Şapur (Şa̋buhr) son of Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r).
The city of Gur-Ärdäşir-Xorräh (Gór-Ärdäxşı̋r-Xwärräh) was made by Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r) the son of Babak (Pa̋bäg).
The city of Tuc (Túz) was made by Huma (Huma̋y) the daughter of Çihr Azad (Çihr A̋za̋d).
The cities of Hormoz-Ärdäşir (Ohrmazd-Ärdäxşı̋ra̋n) and Ram-Hormoz (Ra̋m-Ohrmäzd) were made by Hormoz (Ohrmäzd) the son of Şapur (Şa̋buhr).
The cities of Şus (Şús) and Şustär (Şústär) were made by Şişindoxt (Şı̋şı̋nduxt) the wife of Yäzdgird (Yäzdgird) the son of Şapur (Şa̋buhr) since she was the daughter of Ras Calut (Réş Galúdäg) the king of the Cähudan (Cähúdäga̋n) and mother of Bähram Gur (Währa̋m Gór).
The cities of Gondeşapur (Wändóy-Şa̋buhr) and İran-Kärd-Şapur (Éra̋n-Kärd-Şa̋buhr) were made by Şapur (Şa̋buhr) son of Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r) and named as Bilabad (Pı̋la̋ba̋d).
The city of Nähr-Tireh (Nähr-Tı̋räg) was made during the evil lordship of Zähak (Äzidäha̋g) as his private estate and was the prison of İran (Éra̋nşähr). And it was called the Prison of the Äşkan (Äşka̋n).
The city of Simran (Simra̋n) was made by Färidun (Frédón) son of Abtin (A̋dwén). And he killed Mäsruq (Mäsrúg) the King of Simran (Simrán) and brought again the lands of Simran (Simra̋n) into the domain of İran (Éra̋nşähr). And he gave the Tazig (Ta̋zı̋g) Plain to Bäxt-Husräw (Bäxt-Husräw) the King of the Tazig (Ta̋zı̋g) to own for himself on account of the bond he himself made with him.
The city of Ärest (Ärhést) was made by Şapur (Şa̋buhr) son of Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r).
The cities of Asur (A̋súr) and Beh-Ärdäşir (Weh-Ärdäxşı̋r) were made by Ärdäşir (Ärdäxşı̋r) the son of Äsfändiyar (Spändiya̋d). And he appointed Oşäg (Óşäg) as Marzban over the Dosär (Dósär) and Borgil (Borgil) [regiments] by the Wall of the Tazigan (Ta̋zı̋ga̋n).
The city of Cäy (Gäy) was made by the Accursed Äskändär (Äleksändär) son of Filipus (Filipus). The dwelling of the Cähudan (Cähúda̋n) was there. During the lordship of Yäzdgird (Yäzdgird) the son of Şapur (Şa̋buhr) they were led there by the request of Şişindoxt (Şı̋şı̋nduxt) his wife.
The city of İran-Asan-Kärd-Qäbad (Éra̋n-A̋sa̋n-Kärd-Käwa̋d) was made by [Qäbad (Käwa̋d)] the son of Piroz (Péróz).
The city of Äşgär (Äşkär) was made by Bähram (Währa̋m) the son of Yäzdgird (Yäzdgird).
The city of Azärbaycan (A̋durba̋däga̋n) was made by İran- Guşäsb (Éra̋n-Guşäsp) the spahbäd (spa̋hbed) of Azärbaycan (A̋durba̋däga̋n).
The city of Vän (Wän) was made by Vän (Wän) the daughter of Guläxşan (Guläxşa̋n) and [who] came to be the wife of Käy Qäbad (Käy-Käwa̋d). And the fortress of Ärvändäsb (Ärwändäsp) was built by Tur (Túr) the son of Birädreş (Bra̋dréş) the Kärb (Kärb) by sorcery as a sanctuary for his own life.
Towards the direction of Azärbaycan (A̋durba̋däga̋n), the city of Gänzäk (Gänzäg) was made by Äfrasiyab (Fra̋siya̋k) of Tur.
The city of Amul (A̋móy) was made by the heretic of death. Zärtoşt (Zärduşt) the son of Äspitman (Spita̋ma̋n) is from this city.
The city of Bäğdad (Bägda̋d) was made by Abu Cäfär (Äbú Ca̋fär) who is also called Abu Dävaniq (Äbú Da̋wa̋nı̋g).
